The Location of Menjangan is something that is awe-inspiring, is located on the northwest of Bali and about 4 hours from Sanur; it is certainly worth the drive. Menjangan means “Deer” and is named from the habitants that live on the island.
During your drive to Menjangan, we will pass through the impressive location of Bedugul, which is famous for its mountainous regions and its vast lakes, the roads are all lined with spectacular rice paddies, orchids and strawberry fields.
Menjangan is a protected park and access is limited which makes it perfect for those divers looking for something a little different, the Coral Reefs and marine life here is so varied, you will get to see, Jack, Trevallies, Snapper, Fusilier, Barracuda, Sweetlips, Butterfly, Cardinal, Angel, Grouper, Damselfish, Batfish, Wrasse, Parrot, Surgeon, Trigger, Box, Puffer, Porcupine, Gobies, Moray eels, Leaf fish, Scorpion, Flathead, Blennies, Octopus, Shrimp, Crab, Nudibranch, Flatworm, Shell, Snake, Turtle, Ray, Shark, to name but a few different types.
The visibility in Menjangan is generally around 50 meters, and water temperatures are around 30 degrees, making this an incredible location to dive.
There are dive sites here for everyone, from deep and long drift dives to deep drop-offs and walls, its also perfect for underwater photographers of all levels. If you are not a diver then don’t worry, Menjangan is also an ideal location for snorkelling as well.
